The Role

Sharebite’s Legal Intern will have a rare opportunity to work as the second-chair legal resource within a fast-growing, fully remote, mission-driven company with a  multi-faceted legal function. Working alongside and with the support of Sharebite’s Head of Legal, the Legal Intern will assist with building and maintaining the company’s legal operations, engage in live contract drafting, review, and negotiation, and work across Sharebite’s various teams as needed to provide legal analysis and support to help drive the business forward. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Support Sharebite’s core commercial agreement workflows and assist with data capture and reporting capabilities within Ironclad and other internal systems.
  • Engage in contract drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts. 
  • Serve as a key Legal ops resource, building upon the foundation we’ve created within Ironclad to further streamline, automate, and standardize our contracting procedures.
  • Work cross-functionally to support the varied legal needs of Sharebite’s Sales, Account Management, Marketing, and Operations teams. 
  • Gain experience and knowledge in transactional lawyering within a fast-paced, mission-driven startup on track to change the world.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Current 1st or 2nd year law student at a fully-accredited law school
  • Resourceful, self-driven, curious, and collaborative
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset, capable of systems-level thinking
  • Equipped with reliable internet access, including video conferencing capabilities 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
  • Mission-driven; inclined to leverage business as a tool for social good

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated interest in transactional law (through relevant coursework and/or work experience)
  • Experience with Salesforce, Ironclad, or other CRM or contract management software products
  • Experience within or exposure to sales cycles, fintech, SaaS, or tech startups more generally
  • Prior work experience in a fast-paced and/or remote work environment

This role will require the candidate to work ~35 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, beginning in mid-May and ending in mid-August (exact start and end dates are flexible).

At Sharebite, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and location.

The base compensation range for this role is $18 - $27 per hour, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
