Linux Administrator
TLDR
Senior Linux administrator role focused on integrating Linux with a master data management platform and maintaining multi-server environments.
Linux Administrator for a long-term consulting engagement.
Duties:
- Participate in the management of Linux integration with a master data management platform.
- Manage core Linux Database, application, web and additional servers maintaining and updating all documentation.
- Create and maintain the operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all documentation.
- Investigate and resolve problems involving complex system integration.
Skills/Experience:
- 8-10+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a complicated systems environment, who has demonstrated the capability to offer solutions using a wide range of technologies.
- Expert level knownledge in Linux Red Hat.
- Solid experience with Web Services, Apache, Java, Tomcat, Shell scripting, Perl, Python.
- Experience with Clustering, Load Balancing, Scripting, Thread management, logs - Backups and Recovery.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of Data Management & Master Data Management systems would be a plus.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Financial Services Experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an allied field.
