What’s the role?

We're looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered commerce experiences. You'll work on solving complex machine learning challenges, developing scalable models, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve how millions of shoppers discover and engage with products.

This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, data science, software engineering and product innovation, with the opportunity to deliver real-world AI solutions at global scale.

What will you be doing?

• Design, develop and optimize machine learning models to solve complex business and customer problems.
• Build high-quality, representative training datasets that improve model accuracy, fairness and performance.
• Evaluate, monitor and continuously improve machine learning models using data-driven experimentation.
• Develop scalable tools, workflows and automation to improve model development and operational efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Data teams to design and deploy production-ready machine learning solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal platforms, data pipelines and analytical capabilities.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, generative AI and applied AI technologies.

• Strong experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience evaluating model performance and driving continuous improvements.
• Comfortable collaborating across engineering, product and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for artificial intelligence, machine learning and solving real-world customer problems.
• Curious, collaborative and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.

It would also be a plus if you have:

• Experience deploying machine learning models into production at scale.
• Experience with computer vision, deep learning or large language models (LLMs).
• Experience in contributing to cloud-native production systems, including ML model inference.
• Experience working in e-commerce, retail technology or AI-powered search.
• PhD or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, or a related quantitative.
