Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a passionate and ambitious Machine Learning Intern to join its Machine Learning team within the Algorithms Research & Development department. Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design, development and evaluation of predictive models and advanced algorithms leading to optimal value extraction from data
• Helping in the development of machine learning, artificial intelligence and applied analytics models
• Participating in the implementation of end-to-end real-world solutions using large language models
• Collaborating with our machine learning team in the research and application of state-of-the-art techniques
• Contributing to the maintenance of our machine learning infrastructure
• Working on detailed documentation that supports the understanding and reproduction of each step taken in the project development

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, mathematics, machine learning, AI or a related field
• Basic proficiency in programming, particularly in Wolfram Language
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning, neural networks and AI at the undergraduate level

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with multiple programming languages, such as Python, R or Java
• Previous experience with machine learning and AI
• Knowledge of various machine learning and neural network frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud computing, big data technologies and large language models like GPT-4

Location: Fully remote and seeking candidates from Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Armenia, Turkey, India, Pakistan, Morocco
Job type: Full-time (up to 40 hours per week) / Independent Contractor
Salary:  Dependent on location, candidate’s background and experience
Reporting to: Manager of Machine Learning
