Maintenance Engineer, HVAC

TLDR

Diagnose and repair AC, AHU and refrigeration faults while maintaining heating systems and critical spares across a diverse property portfolio.

As a HVAC Engineer, you will manage and maintain critical heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Your expertise will ensure our infrastructure operates flawlessly around the clock.

Joining the Maintenance department, you will collaborate with Project Delivery Management and liaise with various planners to execute both reactive and planned works.

The team focuses on the installation, servicing and repair of a wide range of HVAC equipment across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring all facilities meet strict health and safety regulations.

You will apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex air conditioning and refrigeration systems. From diagnosing faults to executing precise repairs, your technical skills will keep essential environmental controls running efficiently.

This role requires participation in the department’s on-call rota.

  • Strong background working with AC systems, AHU and refrigeration units
  • F-Gas Certification City & Guilds (2079) Cat 1
  • CITB P&P Pipework and Brazing qualification
  • Solid understanding of risk assessments and safe working practices with electronic test equipment
  • Adept at reading and interpreting complex technical diagrams
  • Familiarity with manufacturer certification processes
  • Sound knowledge of ground and air source systems alongside standard computer literacy
  • Full UK driving licence and a valid CSCS Card
  • Carry out comprehensive maintenance routines across sites
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a wide variety of plant equipment, including AC split systems, AHU and refrigeration units
  • Maintain motors, pumps, compressors, fans, drives, and ground and air source heating systems
  • Ensure all health and safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team
  • Keep all sites maintained in a clean and safe manner at all times
  • Produce, manage and maintain critical spares lists to prevent operational downtime
  • Support the wider maintenance team with general mechanical and plumbing work
