Maintenance Manager

$130,000 – $150,000 per year

TLDR

Lead a fast-paced Part 135 maintenance team overseeing Gulfstream and Embraer fleets, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal aircraft availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES


● Leadership & Oversight: Provide direct management and daily oversight of the
VNY-based maintenance team, including technicians, controllers, planners, and inventory
staff.
● Operational Readiness: Ensure the fleet (ERJ 135, Legacy 600, GIV-SP) is maintained to
the highest safety and reliability standards to meet Aero’s premium service schedule.
● Succession & Support: Act as the DOM’s primary Deputy, providing onsite support and
management to the maintenance team.
● Process Management: Streamline maintenance planning and parts inventory processes
to maximize aircraft availability.
● Culture of Safety: Foster a culture of accountability and transparency, ensuring all team
members adhere to safety-sensitive protocols.

REQUIREMENTS


● Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required and must be free of suspensions
● Part 135 Expertise: Extensive experience in Part 135 maintenance operations is
required.
● Technical Proficiency: Proven hands-on and management experience with Gulfstream
airframes (specifically G-IV series) and Embraer 135/Legacy platforms.
● Management Experience: Significant experience in team leadership and AOC
management within a high-tempo aviation environment.
● Regulatory Knowledge: Strong background in FAA interactions, including audits,
conformity, and regulatory reporting.
● Certification: Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (IA preferred).
● Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
and report to executive leadership.
● Availability: Ability to work varying hours and remain on-call as needed to support a
dynamic Part 135 operation.
● Compliance: Must fulfill TSA criminal background checks (CHRC) and satisfy DOT drug
testing requirements.
● Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
