What you will be responsible for here?
Moving away from only being an app-first company we are now heavily focusing on Web and SEO to ensure that most of our traffic comes from these sources. Therefore, we are looking for a person who apart from leading the technology and development, comes in with a vision for the Web team.
You will be architecting web frameworks, managing web traffic that allow our platforms to be dynamic and perform fast. Right from user input, where each category demands its own input fields, to our internal ops teams who need efficient dashboards to manage customers and providers, you will be making the touchpoint between our data and user. Needless to say, this is a role where you will be working directly with the founders and will have a huge impact on the success of UrbanClap.
We are rebuilding our web stack on modern technologies like ReactJs with Redux, with an eye on progressive web apps in the near future. Who are we looking for?
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-6 years of experience on front end development in a startup or similar work environment
- Experience in managing/leading teams
- Mobile-first/mobile-web approach and design patterns
- Experience with some advanced front-end frameworks is necessary (E.g. React.JS, Grunt, Bower, AngularJS)
- Ability to work under pressure, tight timelines and an unstructured environment
- Curiosity for beautiful web and interest to keep abreast with modern web practices and trends
- Demonstrated design sensibilities
