Summary

The Manager, Scientific Affairs provides scientific and immunologic support across the company, working closely with senior Scientific Affairs and R&D leadership to advance scientific initiatives, support business development activities, and serve as an internal and external scientific resource.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific and immunologic support and input across the company, contributing to scientific initiatives and supporting business development and commercial activities.
  • Work with R&D teams, as needed, to support research activities associated with commercial goals (pharma and research).
  • Assist in developing research concepts for clinical data generation; help deliver relevant scientific and technical training.
  • Support evaluation of potential partnerships for platform placement in research and clinical labs.
  • Support clinical deployments with product education and scientific materials.
  • Support pharma calls by representing the company's scientific perspective.
  • Support clients with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Stay current on relevant scientific literature and technology through conferences and publications and serve as a scientific resource for internal teams.
  • Prepare and deliver scientific/business presentations and provide subject matter support as needed.
  • Contribute to the review, execution, and communication of clinical research activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Travel to conferences, partners, and Madison up to 50% of the time.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • PhD or trained scientists in life or medical sciences; training in immunology and/or drug discovery/development preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience (oncology, immunology, immunotherapy, or related fields)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present scientific content to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to create clear, high-quality scientific presentations tailored to their target audience
  • Interest in building relationships within the scientific/medical oncology community; existing connections in academia or industry a plus.
