Managing Director of Executive Search (Healthcare & Life Science Practice)

Position Summary:

Humanity Health’s mission is laser-focused on greater representation of BIPOC and female leaders in the life science and healthcare markets. We are looking for a Managing Director of Executive Search with a history of building and leading a healthcare and/or life science practice. The individual will be responsible for delivery of services including executive search, account management, business development, strategic recruitment planning & delivery, pipeline engagement, team building and people management. They will serve as the primary point of contact for employers seeking to work with Humanity Health and lead the execution and delivery of services to these clients. A track record of leading or implementing DEI best practices in the recruitment delivery process will be an important factor to understand the mission of Humanity Health.

Daily Role and Responsibilities:

• Implement best-in-class search strategies for the executive recruitment team
• Assess the team’s performance to deliver white-glove search services for our life science and healthcare clients
• Develop new business by creating client proposals, participating at conferences/events and other creative sales approaches
• Perform senior-to-executive-level searches for Humanity Health’s clients

General Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in talent sourcing, executive search, recruiting
• 5+ years’ experience in executive search at top tier large firm or boutique
• 3+ years talent sourcing in the health care or life sciences sector
• 5+ years building and leading an executive recruitment team (e.g., Executive Recruiters, Recruiting Coordinators, and Research Analysts)
• Effective business development leader with strong communications and presentation skills
• Ability to leverage a robust network to identify new leads and business development opportunities
• Proven track record of not only advocating but also implementing diversity, equity and inclusion practices into the search strategy
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong strategic and critical thinking to identify interdependencies between issues, data, and outcomes
• Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships at all levels across the organization with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus
• Demonstrated experience building relationships with peers and senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations
• Strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with CRM, ATS, HRIS platforms

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in start-up environments
• MBA or other advanced degree in training and development, human resources development, education, organizational psychology, or related field 
• Strong public speaking skills, to participate in relevant industry events and web-based marketing (conferences/seminars, podcasts, social media videos, etc.)
