Manufacturing Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform a variety of tasks while working onsite at our Hyannis, MA location.

Key Responsibilities

OBJECTIVES

• Rework product to meet production goals.
• Work with Operations to track and ensure completion of rework objectives.
• Assist the supply chain personnel with activities related to reworking components.

DUTIES

• Follow written procedures.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Utilize manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
• Companion rework.  Load software and update firmware on our companion modules.
• Thermostat conversion.
• Keypad conversion
• Build power distribution units
• Computer skills – learn Salesforce
• Pressing buttons into keypads.
• This person will also be trained to learn shipping duties, which you will do a few hours per day.
• Printing labels & quick reference guides QRG’s.

TECHNOLOGY

• Home Automation / Smart Home technology products such as:  Smart Light Bulbs, Smart Electrical Plugs, Smart Thermostats, Smart Keypads.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Indoors, very clean, quiet, temperature controlled.
• A combination of sitting and standing in the performance of job duties.

Required Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform consistent operations.
• Experience working in a production environment is a plus, but not necessary.  We will train.
• Good communication skills to identify any issues.
• Comfortable working with Apple iOS devices.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

COMPENSATION

• The pay range is $22 - $25 per hour DOE.  The pay range listed is an estimate. Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
