Mechatronics Technician - Production Engineering (m/f/d)

As a Mechanical / Mechatronics Technician, you’ll be a valuable member of the Production Engineering team, taking responsibility for the assembly, setup, and testing of test benches and tools used in our drone production.

Together with our outstanding team, you’ll play a key role in taking our production to the next level. You’ll work closely with engineers from various disciplines to solve problems and continuously improve our processes.

With your hands-on mindset and systematic thinking, you’ll support Quantum Systems in its mission to set the standard for airborne data collection with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Assemble and test test-benches and testing equipment based on technical drawings and work instructions.

• Integrate electronics, including cable harnessing, control cabinets, and hardware connections.

• Perform functional tests and document test procedures.

• Modify existing test benches and integrate adaptations for new products.

• Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical integration issues.

• Maintain the workshop and tools, contributing to a safe and efficient lab environment.

• Provide feedback to the engineering team regarding design improvements and manufacturability.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

• A completed technical education in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience in assembly or maintenance of industrial, robotic, or mechatronic systems.

• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and circuit diagrams confidently — and to contribute actively when needed.

• Good knowledge of materials, tools, adhesives, and standard components.

• Experience with 3D printers is a plus.

• Experience handling PCBs, including cable harnessing, crimping, and soldering.

• A detail-oriented, responsible working style with a high standard of quality.

• A proactive, practical mindset and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.

• Good German communication skills.
