Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our neurology team. The Medical Assistant will play a vital support role in both clinical operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms for neurology clinic visits and ensure rooms are stocked and sanitized

  • Collect and record patient histories, vital signs, and medication lists

  • Assist clinicians in the reconstitution of Botox and Xeomin for in-office procedures (no injections performed)

  • Prepare and organize supplies, equipment, and specimens for clinic procedures

  • Assist with the coordination and collection of samples for genetic testing

  • Support clinicians and patients in the completion and submission of medication prior authorizations and facilitate peer-to-peer communications between providers and payers

  • Accurately document all activities and communications in the EHR system

  • Provide patient education for medications, testing, and procedures as directed by providers

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and office policies

  • Perform other clinical and administrative tasks as delegated by the lead MA, management, or providers

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) strongly preferred

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office; neurology or specialty experience preferred

  • Familiarity with EHR systems

  • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills

  • Organized and able to work effectively in a patient-focused environment
