Medical Copy Editor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Copy Editor to join our Inizio Medical based in the Philippines.

About the role

Reporting to the Global Editorial Team Lead, the Medical Copy Editor is responsible for reviewing and editing a wide range of materials in a timely manner while adhering to industry, company and client style guides. The Medical Copy Editor ensures that all work is in line with editorial policies and standards.  

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Copy editing, proofreading, and formatting scientific content, including slide decks, manuscripts, and scientific communications, to congress, journal, and client specifications.  

• Preparing documents for teams within budgeted timelines.  

• Assisting teams with preparing journal and congress submissions as required. 

• Collaborating with teams to achieve common goals. 

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

• Previous experience in a medical/scientific/regulatory/pharmacovigilance editing role, preferably in a medical communications agency, contract research organisation, medical journal or related industry. 

• Ability to review, comprehend, and revise complex medical and scientific materials.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. 

• Experience of incorporating AI solutions into editorial workflows is desirable. 

• Ability to effectively prioritize projects and manage workload. 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 

• Strong ability to work as part of an effective team. 

• Flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
