Network Engineer

CarShield is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement, monitor, and manage the organization's local and wide area networks, helping maintain secure, reliable connectivity and maximum availability for users across the business.In this role, you will:Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency, security, and reliability of existing networks.Install, configure, and support network infrastructure, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network performance and security.Administer web application firewalls and manage SSL/TLS certificates, including issuance, installation, and renewal.Monitor network performance, investigate faults, and identify opportunities to improve availability and efficiency.Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and firewall issues from end to end and implement durable resolutions.Maintain network equipment by applying current, approved firmware releases.Document network configurations, incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions within the IT service management environment.Communicate network status, risks, and relevant updates to key stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned.Compensation and BenefitsSalary commensurate with experience.Group insurance, including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.401(k) with employer match.Discounted CarShield policies.Discounted tuition at Lindenwood University.Professional development opportunities.On-site basketball and other recreation.On-site fitness facilities and classes led by a staff personal trainer at the St. Peters headquarters.
