Network Engineer II
TLDR
Lead front-to-end engineering and installation of router-based IP solutions across Next-Gen DCs and Hybrid Cloud projects as part of a skilled architecture team.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The primary responsibility will be to provide front-to-end engineering and installation of Arista, Cisco, Extreme, and Juniper router-based IP solutions. Projects include build-outs of Next-Gen DCs, Hybrid Cloud Implementations and advanced IP/MPLS Core Networks. You will be working with a highly experienced Architecture Team developing and implementing these technologies. This position provides the opportunity to grow expertise, and learn a wide variety of the latest technologies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing technical support to project planning team for the development and implementation of proposals.
- Assisting in the design, writing and execution of various test plans on commercial and in-house developed network elements using various test tools and hardware.
- Assisting in the design, prototype and deployment of products and services to meet customer needs.
- Occasional overnight maintenance and call outs
- Maintaining and proposing enhancements to existing customer networks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or Seven or more years of work experience.
- Seven or more years of relevant work experience.
- Professional Level Certification (Preferred)
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Willingness to respond to trouble calls after hours.
- Eligibility to pass an extensive background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Advanced Router-Based industry experience.
- Fluency in many data networking protocols. In-depth working knowledge of, Ethernet, MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN, and IP Telephony.
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Five or more years of experience that includes network design, operational support and hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and load-balancers.
CERTIFICATIONS (ONE OR MORE):
- CCNP or JNCIP certifications.
- Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
- Arista Networks Experience
