What are Ops jobs?

Operations (Ops) is a term used in business to refer to the activities and processes involved in running a company on a day-to-day basis. This includes everything from manufacturing and shipping to customer service and accounting. In a technology startup, Ops is responsible for making sure that all the systems and processes are running smoothly and efficiently. Essentially, Ops is responsible for keeping the lights on and the wheels turning. Tech startups tend to be fast-paced and constantly evolving, so Ops needs to be able to adapt quickly and be proactive in solving problems. Ops teams are usually composed of people with a variety of skills and experience, including project management, IT, engineering, and marketing. Ops jobs might have titles like Head of Operations, VP of Operations, Operations Manager, or Operations Director.
