Packaging Manager

We are looking for a Packaging Manager who will take ownership of packaging development projects across Vilgain and help us bring more structure, expertise and long-term thinking into packaging decisions.

This is a hands-on specialist role with strong cross-functional impact. You will work closely with product development, production, supply chain, purchasing, regulatory and design to make sure our packaging works not only on paper, but also in production, logistics and in the hands of the customer.

What will be your mission?

• Own packaging development projects from idea to launch.

• Help define packaging standards, principles and best practices across our product portfolio.

• Make sure our packaging protects product quality, supports customer experience and can scale with our growth.

• Drive new packaging solutions for existing and new product categories.

• Work with suppliers on packaging innovations, improvements, new materials and formats.

• Evaluate materials, packaging concepts and formats from both technical and business perspectives.

• Manage day-to-day cooperation with packaging suppliers and support negotiations around commercial and technical conditions.

• Work closely with Product Development, Production, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Graphics and Purchasing.

• Bring structure into packaging decisions and help the team make better trade-offs between quality, cost, feasibility, compliance, sustainability and customer experience.

• Support packaging-related documentation, specifications and internal standards.

• Help us improve recyclability, prepare for PPWR requirements, simplify the packaging portfolio and improve logistics and customer experience.

Who do we look for?

• You have solid experience in packaging development, procurement, manufacturing, product development or operations.

• You understand how packaging works in reality — technically, commercially and operationally.

• You can evaluate trade-offs between quality, cost, materials, production feasibility, logistics, compliance and customer experience.

• You have at least basic awareness of sustainability topics and packaging legislation.

• You enjoy ownership, hands-on problem solving and cross-functional work.

• You are structured, organised and able to manage multiple packaging projects at once.

• You communicate clearly with suppliers, internal stakeholders and technical teams.

• You speak Czech and English.

• You feel comfortable in a fast-moving environment where packaging decisions directly impact product quality, customer experience and business performance.

• You are motivated to grow with the role and potentially take broader ownership of packaging topics in the future.
