A family in New York, NY 10013 is seeking a warm, reliable part-time nanny starting October 5th to care for their two children, ages 3 and 5. This position involves managing afternoon routines, including school pickups, activity transportation, and meal preparation in a smoke-free, pet-free household.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• 25 hours per week guaranteed
• Travel to the Hamptons optional!

Family Specifications:

• Pet-free home environment
• Located in Manhattan
• Children's schools and activities are within walking distance
• A personal vehicle is not required; the family will provide a monthly MetroCard

Responsibilities:

• Primary Care: Safe school pickup and transportation to local activities on foot or via public transit
• Meal Care: Preparing and shopping for lunch and dinner for the children
• Nursery/Child Support: Child-related laundry and keeping the children's rooms and play areas clean and organized
• Household Support: Family dinner preparation and general light housekeeping (highly desired)

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for preschool and young school-aged children
• Ability to manage afternoon routines, walking pickups, and public transit with two children

Preferred:

• Willingness to perform family dinner prep and light housekeeping
• Flexibility or open availability to occasionally travel or work in the Hamptons during the summer season

Compensation:

• $30 – $35 per hour (commensurate with experience)
• Monthly MetroCard provided by the family
