People Operations Advisor

The Role
In this exciting role, you’ll work across People Operations and Business Operations. On the People Operations side, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of human resources, including, but not limited to, recruitment, employee relations and compensation. On the Business Operations side, it’s a hands-on role supporting office management, coordinating company communications and working to drive the right culture at Football Radar. We’d expect the balance to be around 60/40 across both areas.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, people skills, office management and HR expertise to contribute to the overall success of the organisation. You’ll deal with staff at all levels of the organisation and your day to day work will be varied.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support, ensuring best practice is implemented and adhered to.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the entire recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
- Working in collaboration with the CEO to effectively manage, review, and develop our HR and business policies and processes.
- Line management of Office Manager and Accounts Administrator
- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organisational goals.
- Support and enable a high performing organisation and work culture.
- Work to implement ways to improve the employee experience and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Liaise with employment counsel on People Operations matters.
- Help position Football Radar as an employer of choice.
- Provide guidance to managers on setting performance expectations and conducting evaluations.
- Implement employee engagement surveys and action plans based on results.
- Assist in developing performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Coordinate professional development opportunities for employees.
- Oversee the accurate implementation of payroll each month.
- Hands-on office management support.
- Handle employee enquiries.
Required Skills
- At least 3 years HR / People Ops experience in similar roles.
- Working knowledge of employment regulations (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety).
- A strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Good understanding and technical abilities within all HR departmental areas including recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, employee engagement, payroll, reward and recognition, welfare, learning and development and HR systems.
- The ability to develop strong working relationships and drive collaboration.
- Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Working towards, or qualified, CIPD Level 5
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, or a business-related subject.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets & Slides or the MS Office equivalent (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Line management experience

You will ideally have at least 3 years of generalist HR experience. Ideally, you’ve been working at a start-up or a smaller organisation where you’ve had exposure to lots of areas of HR and operations but we will consider other backgrounds.

Where You’ll Work
You will work 4 days a week in our Paddington office and will have the flexibility to work 1 day from home. Our office is located at 1 Craven Hill, London, W2 3EN.
