People Operations Generalist

$63,000 – $95,000 per year

TLDR

Own onboarding across two facilities, administer Rippling HRIS records, and turn People Team decisions into documentation, FAQs, and training materials.

At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.

We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.

Role Overview:

The People Operations Generalist provides operational support to Senra Systems' People Team, owning onboarding execution, HRIS administration, process documentation, and cross-functional project work across the Cypress and Redondo Beach facilities.

What you'll own:

  • Coordinates end-to-end new hire onboarding logistics for both the Cypress and Redondo Beach facilities, including scheduling, new hire paperwork, and Day One coordination.
  • Facilitates new employee orientation at the Cypress facility.
  • Serves as the primary administrator for day-to-day HRIS (Rippling) data entry, including new hire records, employee changes, and terminations, ensuring data accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Translates policy and program decisions from the People Business Partner and Head of People into finished process documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Maintains and updates People Team documentation, checklists, and the People Team intranet page as processes evolve.
  • Coordinates logistics for People Team program rollouts and supports cross-functional projects assigned by the People Business Partner or Head of People, from planning through completion.
  • Provides general administrative support to the People Team, including filing, correspondence, and employee inquiries.
  • Supports compliance and employment law initiatives including compliance auditing and reporting under the direction of the HR Business Partner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the team:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Minimum three years of experience independently owning onboarding logistics, HRIS administration, and process documentation for a California employer — able to run the full new hire lifecycle and HRIS recordkeeping from day one with minimal ramp-up.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Has independently administered an HRIS platform in a production capacity (not solely data entry under close supervision); Rippling experience strongly preferred.
  • Has independently built or substantially maintained onboarding checklists, process documentation, or job aids for an HR team, not solely followed documentation created by others.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Working knowledge of California employment law fundamentals; this role does not carry independent compliance decision-making authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly and with minimal training.
  • Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential employee information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting a California-based, multi-site employer.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification.
  • Experience supporting onboarding or HRIS administration in a manufacturing environment.
