Role Overview
We are seeking a Performance Management Lead to join our HR team and own the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our performance management model across the group. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, takes full ownership of their work and enjoys partnering closely with leaders to drive high performance.
You will work directly with managers to embed a strong performance culture, providing coaching and guidance, support performance management issues and ensure accurate and timely performance data reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management Framework
- Own, optimise and continuously evolve the Group-wide Performance Management Framework, ensuring it remains practical, scalable and aligned to business strategy.
- Lead and manage all performance management cycles, including goal setting, continuous feedback, check-ins, reviews and calibration processes.
- Drive a culture of high performance through robust performance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate framework effectiveness using performance metrics, employee feedback and organisational data to identify enhancement opportunities.
HR Analytics, Data & Insights
- Serve as the subject matter expert for performance and people analytics, leveraging data to drive evidence-based decision making.
- Collect, analyse and interpret performance, workforce and talent data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, scorecards and management reporting for HR and business leaders.
- Monitor key people metrics, including performance distribution, goal achievement, talent movement, retention and productivity indicators.
- Conduct deeper analytical reviews to identify drivers of high performance, capability gaps and organisational effectiveness trends.
- Present data-driven recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders, enabling informed talent and workforce decisions.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to utilise analytics in workforce planning, talent management and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of predictive and forward-looking people insights to proactively identify organisational risks and opportunities.
Manager & Employee Support
- Partner closely with managers to drive effective performance conversations, meaningful goal setting and development planning.
- Provide expert advice and hands-on support in managing performance concerns, improvement plans and performance-related documentation.
- Coach leaders on performance management best practices and the effective use of people data in decision making.
- Ensure managers are equipped to interpret performance metrics and leverage insights to improve team effectiveness.
Coaching and Capability Building
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on performance, talent and organisational capability topics.
- Deliver coaching, training and capability-building initiatives that strengthen leadership effectiveness and team performance.
- Support employees in understanding performance expectations, career development opportunities and growth pathways.
- Drive adoption of a data-informed performance culture across the organisation.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Performance Management, Talent Management, People Analytics or a related HR role.
- Demonstrated experience designing, owning and improving performance management frameworks and processes.
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex HR data and translating findings into business recommendations.
- Proven experience building and presenting HR dashboards, reports and insights for senior stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with HRIS, reporting tools and people analytics platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership and delivering outcomes end-to-end.
Preferred
- Experience in HR Analytics, Workforce Analytics or People Insights functions.
- Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, trend analysis and data-driven workforce planning methodologies.
- Experience working with large datasets and translating data into practical HR and business strategies.
- Relevant HR qualification and/or certification in Analytics, Data Analysis or People Analytics.
