POSITION SUMMARY:

Day One Biopharmaceuticals develops new medicines for children with cancer and for people of all ages with life-threatening diseases. Modeling and Simulation (M&S) plays a critical role in our drug development activities to address the knowledge gap and support decision-making in clinical scenarios where Pharmacokinetic (PK) and exposure-response relationship information is limited.

This position has the potential to be fully remote. Occasional travel will be required for in person meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Develop in-depth understanding of the overall program from a M&S perspective

·       Cultivate work relationships with key stakeholders (translational, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, biometrics, clinical and regulatory teams), anticipate team requests and effectively communicate model-informed interpretations to the cross-functional team  

·       Conduct Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) analysis efficiently to support the selection of the right target, dose and patient population

·       Author PK/PD sections of clinical development plans and support the preparation of Phase I, II, and III study protocols, analysis plans, data interpretation, and study reports

·       Prepare M&S documents in support of regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory agencies across multiple geographies

·       Hands-on use of M&S tools to understand complex data and ensure the effective oversight of external Clinical Research Organization (CRO) vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Ph.D. or M.S. with a quantitative science background (pharmaceutical sciences, statistics, mathematics, engineering, etc.)

·       1-5 years of experience in clinical development

·       Knowledge of relevant modeling and simulation software (e.g. NONMEM, Monolix, R, S-Plus, Phoenix NLME, MATLAB, Berkeley Madonna, SIMCYP, etc.)

·       Able to take dynamically assigned pharmacometrics tasks and deliver the results with minimum supervision

·       The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and passion to grow their career in the pharmaceutical industry

COMPENSATION

The hourly range for this position is $60/hour - $80/hour. Day One Bio considers a range of factors when determining compensation. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
