Here’s your opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new in-house team for of one of the largest, most successful retailers in the US. If you are a highly skilled, talented photographer with experience in retail and/or home design photography, then we want to meet you. The Photographer is an integral member of the creative team responsible for creating beautiful product images in a busy, collaborative photography studio. We are looking for a candidate who has prior experience working with home products and interiors and is looking to join and work with a passionate team of photographers, stylists, retouchers and graphic designers. You would be instrumental in evolving and enhancing the story of one of the nation’s most popular brands, helping express our marketing messages across all channels and media. The position reports to the Director of Photography. Our offices are in lower Manhattan. CORE RESPONSIBILITES

• Work collaboratively with a robust team of stylists to create beautiful and consistent images of products
• Creating a consistent visual language that represents our brand identity and holds our standards
• Working closely with Stylists to shoot the photography in a timely manner
• Capturing, naming images, processing the images, waiting for approval uploading images onto server in correct folder structure
• Liaise with the retouching department in regard to any issues that might need to be resolved with imagery
• Work closely with retouchers and stylists to ensure products are being represented appropriately through product photography and imagery
• Oversee and mentor any freelance product photographers as needed
• Partner with other product and lifestyle photographers to provide consistent on brand quality photographs for a variety of merchant events

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree
• 1-3+ years experience
• Any special or specific certificates in photography or continuing education a plus.
• Ability to problem solve independently, as well as collaborate with team members
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive and positive nature and influence in the studio. Able to work with product photographers as well as lifestyle photographers as needed
• Able to quickly prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a daily scheduled work flow

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefer someone who knows current photo software Capture One, Photoshop as well as all photo and video equipment needs
