The Job: Product Designer

As a Product Designer, you will design and optimize user journeys that improve conversion and accessibility across Money Mart’s web and mobile acquisition experiences.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead user research initiatives, inform research briefs, and apply sophisticated analytical techniques to uncover unmet user needs and validate complex product concepts
  • Design and deliver complex product/feature or portfolio of products from 0-to-1, creating innovative solutions for ambiguous problem spaces
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders up to Director level, building consensus and influencing work outside immediate control
  • Identify and scale new design patterns, contribute to design system frameworks, and establish best-practice guidelines
  • Set design vision and strategy for product portfolio, contributing to overall track strategy and driving key design initiatives
  • Mentor junior designers, facilitate training, and actively contribute to design community through recruiting, craft sessions, and working groups

What You Bring:

  • Proficient in Figma, Miro, and Microsoft 365.
  • Advanced proficiency with design system tools (ZeroHeight, Storybook) and contributing to their development
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, AODA) and implementation
  • Expert in advanced prototyping methods and user testing tools
  • Proficient with analytics platforms (Google Analytics or equivalent) for sophisticated analysis
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks and non-inferiority techniques
  • Ability to create original visual design assets (illustration, photography, composition)

Education + Experience

  • Master's degree in UX, Service Design, Interaction Design, or related discipline
  • Advanced UX certification (e.g., NN/g UX Master Certified), accessibility expertise (e.g., WCAG, IAAP CPACC), Service Design certification
  • 4–6 years designing complex digital products and leading design initiatives
  • Proven experience taking products from 0-to-1 in ambiguous problem spaces
  • Experience leading design strategy for product portfolios
  • Track record of significant business impact through design
  • Experience working across multiple teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships
