Product Manager
About This Role
Our team is looking for a system design thinker with a solid technical background. You will collaborate with a team of mobile, web, and backend engineers to provide our members with a consistent, delightful, and performant app experience by building and growing shared infrastructure, tooling, and services. This team is critical to enabling scale at the most important inflection point we have seen for our member apps.
This critical role will support the mission of the business in the Japan Digital area, which is to give our members superpowers to connect with the people and things that will make them happy, successful, and lifetime WeWorkers. We are able to do this primarily through the WeWork Japan App (Android, iOS, web) and its core services.
The WeWork Product Managers collaborate with our dedicated engineering teams, designer, and partners to build and ship scalable solutions. We seek upbeat, passionate, visionary people who have worked in agile startup environments and push the boundaries of what’s possible. We are looking for product managers who are equally adept at data thinking and design thinking, considering both analytics and research to synthesize a clear vision for the future.

Responsibilities
Play a role to help define, manage, and evolve product strategy, roadmap, and vision
Identify and prioritize key issues or needs in the existing member experience, while bringing to bear savvy technical knowledge and product instincts to deliver world-class solutions
Own product performance by setting proper success metrics and tracking them in a way to maintain accountability but also inform the future product roadmap
Communicate with partners to keep abreast of their needs and experience concerns
Monitor industry trends to find opportunities and modify strategies
Work directly with engineering and design to ensure our products exceed standards of quality and reflect WeWork’s brand
Operate a cross-functional unit in an agile setting, with well-defined sprints, clear product backlogs, and forward-looking plans that align to your mission and success metrics
Requirements
3+ years product management experience, several of which should include full ownership of a product roadmap and vision
Strong technical skills to oversee the platforms that support our member apps, including deep understanding of software design, data structures, and APIs
System design thinking to ensure we scale our platforms effectively
You lead with data and research, not assumptions
Proven ability to innovate and deliver creative, yet simple solutions to routine problems
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation abilities
You have shipped a variety of products requiring significant cross-functional teamwork and can speak to the process of designing and building them with great detail
You have high emotional intelligence to relate your products to customer needs
You are very organized -- you write detailed user stories, maintain your backlog, and set clear goals that are shared throughout the organization
Experience working or strong interest in working at the intersection of technology and physical environments a huge plus
Experience working with JIRA a plus
Experience in SalesForce and other CRM/financial systems is a plus
