Product Support Engineer I

TLDR

Own release, upgrade and implementation projects for trading, portfolio management and reconciliation apps, delivering cross-functional technical support.

SEI is looking for a candidate who will be working as a technical support specialist primarily responsible for the production and development systems support of a suite of trading, portfolio management and reconciliation applications.  This includes support of other financial based applications hosted for several business units within SEI. This highly critical and visible role includes constant interaction with many technical and business based teams. 

Tasks include major version upgrades, client implementations and conversions, break/fix and Disaster Recovery testing as well as providing for detailed technical support through research, analysis and resolution of issues.

What you will do:

  • Analyze, coordinate, and implement technology systems based on business requirements
  • Become proficient with core applications and/or database systems
  • Provide oral and written technical problem root cause analysis, resolution and application support
  • Serve the role as owner of Release, Upgrade and Implementation projects and tasks
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to support business strategies as they change

What we need from you:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of IT support
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem and change management)
  • Working with vendor resources and coordinate releases in a fast paced environment
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of recent versions of Microsoft Windows Server / Desktop environments and related components.
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of recent versions of Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
  • Experience/Knowledge with Web Servers & Linux
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL
  • Knowledge and experience with VMWare & VSphere
  • On-call duty (rotation), flexible working all hours including weekends
  • Participate in annual disaster recovery testing
