Production Apprentice - SWING SHIFT (Entry Level)

We’re looking for an entry-level Production Apprentice who’s excited to learn and help out across the entire production floor. This role is perfect for someone who’s sharp, adaptable, curious, and comfortable jumping in wherever support is needed.

Your Role

As a Production Apprentice, you will serve as a flexible support role across production functions including Assembly, Quality Control, Packing, Staging, Finishing, and Print support. You will be assigned tasks based on daily production needs and priorities and may shift between functions throughout the day.

This role is ideal for someone early in their manufacturing career who wants broad exposure to production operations and a strong foundation in modern manufacturing workflows.

Upon successful completion of your 90-day evaluation, you will transition from P1 to P2 level, and your base pay will increase from $20 to $22 per hour.

Shift and Schedule

Regular schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–10:00pm

Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, for the initial training period.

Mandatory overtime may be required to support production needs, staff shortages, or unexpected increases in workload.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Support Assembly, QC, Packing, Staging, Finishing, and Print teams as assigned

Support Finishing team by preparing parts for sanding and paint

Assist with assembly tasks following work instructions and SOPs

Perform visual inspections and quality checks

Pack lighting products accurately and efficiently

Build boxes, inserts, and packing materials for various product types

Stage parts, materials, and finished goods for the next production step

Assist with print harvesting, respooling, and material handling as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Communicate issues, shortages, or blockers to supervisors

Follow all safety protocols and production guidelines

Support overall workflow efficiency and daily production goals

Essential Requirements & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required

No prior manufacturing experience required (training provided)

Willingness to learn new tasks, tools, and processes

Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Basic computer literacy (Google Workspace or equivalent)

Clear communication and teamwork skills

High adaptability and willingness to shift tasks quickly

Proactive attitude and openness to feedback

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)

Repetitive hand and wrist movements

Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. comfortably

Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the shift

Reliable transportation to the workplace
