ispace-US is looking for a Production Test Engineer that will support ongoing testing activities for our Lunar Lander and Relay Satellites. As a Production Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing and analyzing all encompassed testing to accept and qualify our vehicles, various subsystems, & in-house manufactured components. You will work closely with the design REs, AI&T members, and other teams such as Avionics, Systems, and GNC to ensure design/mission requirements and industry standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related discipline.
- 2+ years of MFG and/or Test Experience in the aerospace or electronics realm.
- Experience working in collegiate project teams (e.g. Formula SAE, Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and/or professional experience Professional experience with instrumentation and data acquisition (e.g. SPICE, SQL, and/or National Instruments hardware)
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, scripting, or automation tools (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.)
- Experience with requirements verification and traceability methodologies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability hardware testing, integration, or verification activities
- Experience developing and executing test plans, test procedures, verification documentation, and test reports
- Familiarity with qualification and acceptance testing methodologies for aerospace or other high-reliability systems
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, configuration management, and verification processes
- Ability to work hands-on with hardware in laboratory, cleanroom, and manufacturing environments
- Strong sense of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with pneumatic testing at various pressures and volumes
- In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of operations, engineering, safety and quality.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO, AS9100 and quality control standards.
- Ability to work with a team along with providing guidance to drive improvements towards process efficiency.
- Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
