Project Manager - Automotive

REALTIME are looking for an experienced Producer\Project Manager to lead a new team in the development of our next automotive project.

We currently deliver bespoke configurators to the high-end automotive market for personal customer interaction but as the market changes we need to move to bigger more global scales with our development and delivery. The visibility of these projects and risks associated with them mean we need an experienced Producer\Project Manager to deliver these projects successfully against business value expectations and grow accordingly.

We need an experienced Producer\Project Manager with a track record successfully delivering all aspects of a project from conception, through development and finally into the hands of our valued clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clearly defines robust project approaches during pre-sales and mobilisation phases, with the experience and capability in the delivery of complex long-term projects within defined financial, schedule and quality tolerances, whilst maintaining and developing customer satisfaction.
• Typically experienced in the development of complex plans and management of a team to deliver against them. Develops, leads, and delivers complex long-term projects that will deliver benefits to the client and/or stakeholders using teams with multiple elements.
• Has expert understanding of concepts, procedures and application of project management and brings this knowledge to bear to ensure best practice across projects.
• Projects will typically involve a significant element of risk and require the ability to use and adapt recognised project management methods and processes.
• Must have ability to apply relationship skills and to be able to build and own client and stakeholder relationships at all levels (internal and external). Ability to have the difficult conversations with clients.
• Acts as lead change agent with ability to identify the change impact on the organisation.
• Extensive diverse team leadership, as well as presenting and writing reports.
• Complete projects on time within budget and meeting quality.
• Support and motivate the team.
• Creation of delivery milestones, within tight timelines.
• Main point of contact internally for development updates.

MUST HAVE SKILLS & QUALITIES

• 5 years’ experience in a Project Management/Production based role.
• Possesses knowledge and/or experience of business strategy and business operations.
• Translate client requirements into an integrated work break down structure from which the project is created.
• Has responsibility for planning and managing all aspects of the clients’ project. Ideally managed multiple projects at the same time.
• Responsible for the delivery of projects within defined financial targets and timelines.
• Experience of negotiation with 3^rd party contractors and ensuring contractor work is at the high level expected of REALTIME.
• Abiltiy to spot and deal with problems arising during development to minimise any disruption to final delivery (resource, budget or stakeholder in nature).
• Manages and coordinates the work across all areas of the team and/or external sub-contractors to deliver against understood and agreed criteria within agreed tolerances.
• Ability to manage high levels of change during development, and to lead and develop the project with the client throughout.
• Willingness to travel.
