Job Description:

Position Summary

Project Phoenix is NextPower's enterprise-wide business transformation initiative focused on standardizing global business processes and implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

The R2R Transformation Lead will own the design, standardization, and implementation of global Record-to-Report processes across the organization. This individual will work closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, business stakeholders, and the Systems Integrator to design future-state processes that improve financial controls, automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.

This role requires a strong combination of finance process knowledge, ERP implementation experience, project management, and change management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Transformation

  • Lead the global Record-to-Report (R2R) workstream for Project Phoenix.
  • Analyze existing ("As-Is") finance processes and design standardized global ("To-Be") processes.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities and drive process simplification.
  • Identify automation opportunities and leverage Oracle Fusion best practices.

Oracle Fusion ERP Implementation

Partner with the Systems Integrator to implement Oracle Fusion Financials, including:

  • General Ledger
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Intercompany Accounting
  • Financial Close
  • Journal Management
  • Period Close
  • Financial Reporting

Review solution designs and ensure they meet business requirements while minimizing customization.

Process Ownership

Develop standardized global processes covering:

  • Journal Entries
  • Month-End Close
  • Year-End Close
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Financial Consolidation
  • Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Cash Management
  • Intercompany Transactions
  • Financial Reporting
  • Management Reporting
  • Corporate Close Calendar

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

Ensure seamless integration between R2R and adjacent business processes.

Requirements & Design

  • Gather business requirements from global stakeholders.
  • Facilitate design workshops.
  • Document functional requirements and user stories.
  • Review configuration documents.
  • Validate system design.

Testing

Lead all finance-related testing activities including:

  • Conference Room Pilots (CRP)
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Defect resolution
  • Business signoff

Data Migration

Support:

  • Chart of Accounts validation
  • Opening balances
  • Historical data migration
  • Master data cleansing
  • Financial data reconciliation

Change Management

Support organizational readiness through:

  • Process documentation
  • SOP development
  • End-user training
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Hypercare support
  • Adoption tracking

Continuous Improvement

After go-live:

  • Identify optimization opportunities
  • Drive automation initiatives
  • Improve reporting capabilities
  • Support future Oracle enhancements
  • Establish process governance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • CA, CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Finance transformation, ERP implementation, or Financial Systems.
  • Minimum 3 years of Oracle ERP Cloud or Oracle EBS implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of Record-to-Report processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
