Department Overview
Our department, the Incentive Platform Department (INPD) is thinking big: we build scalable platforms that empower the Rakuten Ecosystem worldwide.

The Fraud Prevention Section is responsible for building the fraud platforms and investigating various forms of fraud.

We combine the latest technology, architecture solutions, and fraud modeling capabilities to develop a scalable, high-performing system which processes billions of transactions in real-time.

Why We Hire

Looking for a talented and experienced Mid QA engineer with over 5 years of experience in software QA who can take on challenging tasks in running full-scale testing to protect accounts and transactions from fraud in real-time.

Position Details
・Contribute to QA activities including test planning, analysis, execution and reporting for ensuring no production incident

・Build and maintain a reliable automation test framework and test scripts for increasing delivery speed

・Participate in online review/discussion session with onshore team and partner teams across the globe

Mandatory Qualifications:

・Over 5 years’ experience in functional and non-functional test planning & execution of web application

・Over 3 years’ experience in micro service testing

・Over 2 years’ experience in automation test with framework design capability

・Strong trouble shooting ability and initiative to solve blocking issue

・Sense of ownership and a quick learner

Desired Qualifications:
・Hands on experience with message queues (Event Hubs, Kafka) and protocols like gRPC, GraphQL

・Experience with various infra and DBs (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis)

・Experience in automation testing tool (Cucumber, Cypress, Selenium)

・Coding experience in one of these programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Golang)

・Experience in integrating automated tests into release deployment pipeline (CI and Jenkins)

・Need to own the projects in all phases of testing life cycle (Requirement gathering to Report sign-off)

・ISTQB and other technical certifications

・Experience in performance testing and monitoring provides added advantage (Gatling, Kafka, Grafana)
