Job Role:

We are looking for an experienced, mature, and reliable Manager of Quality Assurance to ensure that all external and internal requirements and quality goals are met before our product reaches our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on procedures and outputs, identifying and addressing non-conformity issues, while managing a team of full-time employees and contractors.

An excellent Quality Assurance Manager has eyes like a hawk as well as solid experience in quality assurance. The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional whose approval will be necessary for the continuation of a business life cycle.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to a team of enthusiastic and capable quality engineers.  Establish a culture of pride in helping to deliver a world-class product.
• Establishing COE’s and Test centres
• Building, grooming, managing, and mentoring a professional and highly effective QA team
• Interacting with all stake holders and setting up of right expectations
• Defining of process and ensuring adherence
• Defining test strategies, architectures and plans for multiple products
• Effective review of test artifacts during development and testing phases
• Daily tracking of testing activities, management reporting and escalation of issues
• Build regression suites to ensuring proper regression testing is done pre-release
• Establishing automation testing frameworks and tool evaluation
• Preparing testing reports
• Actively addressing customer concerns related to quality
• Responsible for driving overall quality of the product by working closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure quality happens as far up the chain as possible.
• Review of post-production defects and aim for continuous improvement

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing product quality
• Strong knowledge of Java and hands on experience working with API Testing, Performance/Load  Testing, Functional Testing, and Continuous Test Automation frameworks. Recent coding experience is a strong plus. Must be able to read code and describe its purpose.
• Prior experience and familiarity with industry standard ALM platforms, defect tracking tools and SDLC practices
• Prior experience working in an integrated development environment
• 2+ years experience managing remote teams in vastly different time zones.  Ability to work with customers and employees during their business hours, even when halfway around the world.
• Strong experience documenting test cases using commercial test case management tools
• Ability to track and establish improvement in key QA metrics such as code coverage, defects per user story, etc.
• Experience using coverage tools, vulnerability assessment tools
• 2+ years hands on experience with Selenium or a similar UI automation tool, as well as Postman or similar API automation tool
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to jump in and help testing when required.  Must have a great, positive attitude.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. Excellent written communication skills are a necessity.
• Must have a vision and set short term as well as long term goals
• Ability to drive quality and negotiate with stake holders

Education and Qualifications:

• B.Tech or equivalent degree
• Certification in quality control is an added advantage
