QA Systems Officer

Job Description

As the Quality Assurance Systems Officer, you will facilitate QA system maintenance and activities, drive continuous improvement projects, and ensure high standards of food safety and quality compliance across our Karawatha facility.

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane and reports to the Food Safety Compliance Manager.

You will…

• Monitor and support verification activities as this role will work alongside the QA Officer
• Highlight and address real-time issues, raising corrective action reports for CCP breaches with Compliance, Production, and CI teams.
• Oversee plant GMP compliance, carry out GMP inspections, and conduct pre-operational checks post-cleaning.
• Maintaining the approved supplier register up to date for compliance.
• Perform investigations and root cause analysis on non-conforming products to identify and evaluate effective corrective actions.
• Deliver systems training to production and packing staff, coordinate testing, and maintain up-to-date training records.
• Generate daily Handover Reports for the Food Safety Compliance Manager and conduct shift handovers with incoming QC Officers.
• Maintain accurate QA records and report key quality metrics to management.

You have…

• A minimum of 1 year experience within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of food safety principles, including HACCP and GMP standards.
• Practical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Formal tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (desirable).
• Prior HACCP training or experience with GFSI standards (desirable).

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period
