Quality Assurance Engineer

Role – As the Quality Assurance Engineer at Local Roots, you’ll be testing the design of products that enable us to provide flavorful, affordable food to everyone. You will design and run QA tests on all of the hardware for our state-of-the-art TerraFarmsTM including structural, mechanical, and plumbing equipment, electronics, cameras, and automation equipment. We’re looking for an exceptional and creative engineer to usher in the next era of farming.

Responsibilities – You should be confident making significant contributions in the following categories:

• Anticipating and mitigating quality risks caused by new designs or manufacturing techniques
• Designing and conducting all QA tests
• Establish and implement a documentation strategy to ensure quality
• Training the manufacturing team on production techniques and QA procedures
• Interfacing with all vendors, manufacturing partners, and certifying bodies

Requirements – Your background should include the following:

• BS in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing
• Extensive experience in test engineering

Bonus Skills – Bonus points if any of these also describe you:

• 5+ years professional experience
• Expertise in automation
