For more than 40 years, GC Packaging (the "Company") has been an innovator in the card manufacturing industry. We offer our clients a comprehensive mix of special effects finishing, collating, and packaging techniques to make even the most challenging of projects come to life.

The Manager of Quality Assurance ensures that all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and timeliness. This position interfaces with a range of internal product development teams and the breadth of our external supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and any potential vendors to understand and overcome supply chain pain points and keep product releases on schedule.
  • Works cross functionally to manage on-site and in-process quality assurance checks for all WIP and finished goods across supply chain.
  • Works with operators, supervisors and line leads in effort to meet the high-quality standards for each specific operation.
  • Audit vendors and second party processes to ensure they meet internal requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Attend product walkthroughs and BOM (Bill of Material) reviews, evaluate risks and inefficiencies, and communicates with the product development team to drive cost and time savings.
  • Liaison with project management team to ensure manufacturing and finishing processes are on-schedule and support product release dates.
  • Collaborate with the Fanatics Collectibles team to understand challenges and pain points in the supply chain and develop and execute plans to address ongoing issues and concerns with suppliers.
  • Manage direct reports and their activities. This includes training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; and discipline.
  • Coordinate the build out revised SOPs & Quality Control processes in partnership with vendors and internal SMEs.
  • Support the building of QC reporting & analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ Years of Work Experience in a QA Supervisory role preferably in highly configurable, high mix/low volume product manufacturing, consumer-packaged goods, and/or contract manufacturing.
  • Sports Trading Card experience a plus
  • 3+ Years of experience leading teams
  • Bilingual / Spanish speaking a plus
