Quality Assurance Officer - Mortgages
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Officer
Who is part of the Operations team and is responsible for assessing our customer mortgage journeys to ensure that we provide the most suitable advice to our customers. You will undertake quality assurance as part of the first line of defence in line with Habito’s and the approved FCA guidelines. The successful candidate will be able to combine their existing quality assurance experience with the best technology.
More about what you’ll do:
- Evaluating mortgage journeys in line with Habito policy and external regulations to ensure good customer outcomes.
- Analysing customer applications and carrying out robust file reviews for advice and file quality
- Providing technical advice and guidance to our Mortgage Expert and Case Management teams
- 1:1’s with our mortgage experts teams and delivering feedback and coaching on file and advice quality
- Reporting on quality assurance outputs to the risk committee and regularly presenting findings and areas of concern
- Working closely with compliance to support the ongoing compliance monitoring programme
The Candidate
- CeMAP qualified (desirable)
- 2+ years’ experience in a broker/ mortgage lending environment Mortgage file reviewing experience*
- Strong understanding of the Mortgage Industry or Financial Services Regulation
- Good working knowledge of the end-to-end mortgage process
- Attention to detail, with a methodical and organised approach
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivation and prepared to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Hard working, tenacity and a focused mindset
- The ability to work independently, using their initiative and work as part of a wider team
- The ability to comfortably handle change and in a fast-evolving environment
- Stakeholder management experience coupled with strong self-learning capability and a focus on personal development
- Experience in coaching and/or training (desirable)
- Analytical and detail oriented skills to identify trends and pick up on areas of challenge on a team or individual basis
