(Rakuten Travel) Internet Travel Consultant (Philippines Based)

Job Description:

Rakuten Travel is a leading online travel agency in Japan under Rakuten Group Inc. Launched in 2001, it offers Japan’s broadest selection of hotels and other accommodation facilities for both leisure and business travelers, as well as package tours with airlines and more. Rakuten Travel also covers accommodations in markets around the world and offers support in 9 languages.

We are looking for a customer-focused Travel Consultant to assist our local partners. The ideal candidate has travel industry experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for the travel industry! Join us in delivering exceptional journeys to our customers!

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for inbound travel from Japan by supporting contract with hotels and promoting them to Rakuten members in Japan.
• Current situation analysis for partners (mainly hotel partners)
• Consulting to partners, aimed at creating win-win online travel / accommodation plans for online sales.
• Plan and create accommodation plans on Rakuten Travel Japanese language website.
• Production support for online customized pages (Training will be provided)
• Business development to increase advertisement sales to partners.
• Customer service support for local partners.
• Other adhoc duties relating to other branches including Singapore and ASEAN.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years' work experience in hospitality, online ecommerce or related industries.
• Strong attention to details. Consistent in delivering operational tasks that include rendering online content and managing hotels’ online rates and inventory.
• Experience working in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment with a track record of strong results.
• Proven track record of self-motivated performance and perseverance in travel or related industry.
• Able to work with minimal guidance and drive partnership opportunities forward.
• Business, sales, Customer Service experience
• Bilingual in English and Japanese to handle Japanese-speaking clients.
