Regional Sales Manager (East Coast)

Position summary
Barksdale is expanding its commercial team to support continued growth, strengthen customer relationships, and bring innovative sensing, control, and fluid management solutions to market. As part of a global organization backed by Crane Co., the Regional Sales Manager will drive revenue growth across the Northeastern United States by developing channel partners, expanding OEM and key account relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across diverse industrial markets. This role is ideal for a results driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and turning strategy into action. The successful candidate will develop and execute territory growth plans, increase market share, and deliver measurable business results through disciplined sales execution and strong customer engagement. Candidates should reside within a reasonable distance of the assigned territory and have the ability to travel regularly throughout the region. Candidates located in the Northeast, Midwest, or surrounding areas will be considered. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, new business development, channel partner performance, market share expansion, and achievement of annual sales objectives.
Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies that increase market share, expand customer relationships, and drive revenue growth.
- Identify, develop, and strengthen relationships with channel partners, distributors, OEMs, and key end users.
- Drive new business development through strategic prospecting, market analysis, and customer engagement activities.
- Promote Barksdale's full portfolio of sensing, control, and fluid management solutions across industrial markets.
- Conduct joint sales calls, technical presentations, and training activities to support customer and channel partner success.
- Create and execute account plans for key customers and growth opportunities within the territory.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and pipeline management within the company's CRM platform.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews, sales plans, and territory updates to leadership.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to build customer relationships and support growth initiatives.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of successful experience in technical sales, industrial sales, account management, business development, channel management, or related commercial roles.
- Demonstrated success growing revenue, developing new business opportunities, expanding customer relationships, and increasing market share.
- Experience working with distributors, channel partners, OEMs, or industrial end users preferred.
- Ability to develop and execute territory, account, and growth plans that deliver measurable business results.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, including pipeline management, forecasting, opportunity prioritization, and sales planning.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities, sales activities, forecasting, and customer information. Salesforce.com experience preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel approximately 50-70% throughout the assigned territory.
