Relationship Manager - Options
TLDR
Guide active options-trading clients by reading portfolio Greeks, managing risk, and translating volatility and events into tailored strategies.
About the role
We are looking for a Relationship Manager specialised in options to join our Hong Kong investment-advisory team. You will be the primary point of contact for clients actively trading options on our platform — helping them read their positions, manage risk, turn market views into actionable options strategies, and supporting their overall trading activity to hit team targets. This is a client-facing, KPI-driven role; structured training and licensing support will be provided if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship manager for active options-trading clients; maintain a clear view of each client's options positions, portfolio Greeks (delta, gamma, vega, theta) and overall risk exposure, and provide professional trading advisory and execution support to achieve team trading targets
- Track market trends, volatility regimes and event catalysts (earnings, macro releases, index rebalancing); translate them into tailored options trading ideas — directional, volatility and income/hedging strategies — matched to clients' risk appetite and trading habits
- Review clients' options holdings, proactively flag naked or excessive exposure, margin concentration and assignment risk, and provide timely guidance on position adjustment, rolling and risk management
- Continuously engage high-quality clients, address transaction-related queries, boost their options trading activity and extend their trading life-cycle
- Regularly deliver market and volatility analysis, promptly respond to daily inquiries, and handle complaints and issues to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Strengthen client stickiness and sense of belonging, and promote referral and retention through salons, investment-strategy meetings, options-focused workshops and other client activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above; major in finance, economics, mathematics, quantitative disciplines or a related field is preferred
- Proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin as working languages; English fluency is a plus
- Eligible Hong Kong work visa (e.g., IANG, TTPS, QMAS)
- Solid foundation in financial markets, with proficient and hands-on knowledge of options: mechanics, Greeks, implied volatility and common strategies (covered calls, spreads, straddles/strangles, etc.); 2+years of options or complex-derivatives trading experience — serious personal high-frequency options trading experience is also strongly considered
- Familiar with the characteristics and needs of active / options-trading client groups; keen market and volatility insight; able to independently analyse trends, volatility and events and formulate options trading strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong teamwork, and a goal- and customer-oriented mindset with sound service awareness; able to deliver high-quality service in a sales/KPI-driven environment
- Candidates with brokerage derivatives/options trading experience, client transaction-operation services, and risk & compliance awareness will be given priority
- Candidates holding SFC Type 1 and Type 4 licenses, or having passed SFE Papers 1, 7 & 8, will be given priority
