Research Analyst (Remote)

The Research Analyst will be part of a fast-paced team responsible for executing detailed

analysis of campaign performance in driving lifts in sales, working directly with

publishers/agencies and their advertisers to understand campaign details and objectives,

evaluate study feasibility, and research the sales performance of the featured products

and categories and applying that knowledge to inform the development of the final

campaign reports. As a Research Analyst on the US Lift Delivery team, you will work

alongside our modeling, solutions consulting, product leadership, and sales teams

throughout the entire post-sale process to ensure that all clients have a positive

experience working with the measurement products within the Campaign Lift portfolio.

These responsibilities will all be handled while maintaining a high level of quality

assurance and professionalism throughout each step of the process to ensure client

satisfaction and help grow our client relationships.

  • Create detailed research analyses focused on the effectiveness and efficiency of advertising on various media platforms (TV, Digital Display,
  • Search, etc.) using established test vs control methodology to determine the lift driven by the measured campaigns
  • Execute measurement based on analytic approach(es) to evaluate campaign performance based on individual client needs
  • Work directly with publishers and advertisers to interpret and present results of Lift studies
  • Become a subject matter expert on Nielsen’s Lift solutions and be able to explain results with a basis in the analytical methodology underlying the measurement
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance checks on test setup, data quality and presentation materials to ensure that best practices are being followed
  • Investigate / raise questions when issues are discovered and proactively work to help find the root cause and resolve them
  • Maintain accurate records of study timelines, completed milestones and presentation dates, and stay in regular communication with all relevant
  • internal and external stakeholders to ensure all are kept up to date on status and timelines
  • Work as part of a team to ensure client deliveries are always completed in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of Nielsen Media
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related business field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Marketing or Media research preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a client-facing/presenter role preferred
  • Knowledge of/experience with marketing, advertising, and statistics is a plus, ideally in the CPG/retail field
  • Strong Project Management skills a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Very strong quantitative, data tabulation, analytic thinking, and data mining skills
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite of products (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create stories with data and to share findings with clients in an engaging, audience-appropriate manner
  • Ability to deliver under deadlines
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Close attention to detail
  • Eager to learn and develop skills
  • Critical thinking and curiosity
