A Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a C-suite executive responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of an organization's marketing and advertising initiatives. The CMO ensures the company's message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives. As such, the CMO leads brand development, marketing communications (including advertising and promotions), market research, product marketing, project management, sales management, and digital marketing. They are also in-charge of aligning company-wide marketing strategy with its overall business strategies and objectives.
