What does a Junior Accountant do?

A Junior Accountant is an entry-level position in a finance or accounting department. Their primary responsibilities revolve around assisting senior accountants with various tasks, such as bookkeeping, managing ledgers, preparing financial reports, computing taxes, and creating documentation for auditing. As startups are dynamic in nature, the Junior Accountant may also be required to perform duties outside of the traditional accounting realm, like contributing to startup's budgeting and financial planning.
