Sales Director, Issuing Sales
The Sales Director is accountable for the success of their region (SE Issuing Sales), they will bring together direct and indirect reports to ensure planning and execution of an effective go to market strategy in a highly innovative, and still maturing, industry.
Reporting to a divisional Head of Issuing Sales VAS, the Sales Director will need to engage with and lead complex client engagements with C-Level executives.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own annual sales and revenue targets within assigned region (Cluster).
- Create and communicate individual sales and revenue goals to the team.
- Manage sales and revenue forecasts keeping CRM and other reports up to date.
- Lead all sales efforts in the region (one of Visa Cluster), combining multi-disciplinary teams to define and implement a new sales strategy for the region delivering MRR and sAAR Targets.
- Lead a team of 5-7 direct reports (senior & sales managers, senior & account managers) in selling Tink’s product suite in the market, with an ambition for significant growth.
- Possess strong sales acumen and ability to lead Sales and Account management teams throughout the entire sales process (9 to 18+ months on average).
- Have clear and shared KPI’s with supporting teams to ensure a coherent go to market strategy.
- Ensure the team can plan, orchestrate, and drive VAS's execution on sales activities throughout the whole funnel.
- Have a strategic view of team and market development.
- Able to develop and execute a plan in the near term 1-2 years to ensure sales target achievement and expand our customer base.
- Outlook to the future, team design and product requirements to ensure we are continuously building for success over the medium term.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Regional Client lead & escalation point.
- Work with Delivery and Support to ensure customers are prioritized.
- Be the primary regional escalation point, have strong peer to peer working relationships with senior customer stakeholders in region.
- Have a clear view of VAS Legal and regulatory obligations in your region.
- Work closely with the central functions to ensure you are abreast of the latest.
Requirements:
- Have a strong grip over the contracting process, enabling you to effectively manage legal and compliance resource required to sign contracts and support your team as a level of escalation.
- Client facing role, drive C-level and key buyer relationships with the largest Issuers, Banks and Lenders or PSPs, fintechs and merchants in the market.
- Understand and engage deeply in the domain to help the team with decisions and Roadblocks.
- Innovate with key clients on new use cases and applications of open banking and data driven solutions.
- Be part of the regional Leadership Team, contributing to initiatives outside of your specific Remit.
- Contribute to/lead the wider in region team.
- Part of FTS/ Eurobits migration projects.
- Be recognized as a Thought Leader in the market/domain both internally and externally.
- Play a key role in the product development process through extensive collaboration with the product team.
- Collaborate extensively with the Issuing sales vertical leadership team and counterparts in the Vertical.
- Build strong relationships with local Visa leadership teams.
- Actively engage Visa Account Executives and Business Development teams to grow pipeline and deals.
- Contribute to the development of in region joint value propositions.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
We would love to meet someone with:
- Extensive experience across the financial ecosystem, whether payments or other fintech experience (open banking experience is not essential, but desirable).
- For the Banking & Lending vertical: Experience in the Financial Services/Technology space and experience in selling SaaS, B2B fintech or paytech solutions to large companies.
- For the Payments & Platforms vertical: experience in the financial services/technology/payments/retail space and direct experience working with key stakeholders at the largest PSPs/Platforms/Merchants.
- Demonstrable success in an entrepreneurial role, where you have built teams and/or businesses.
- Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills.
- Experience from a fast-paced high-growth organization working innovative disruptive products is helpful but not essential.
