Security Supervisor

What You'll Work On

• Provide leadership and support for staff security officers
• Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate security staff
• Act as liaison between company and security services vendors
• Oversee building access control system, including administration of badge program
• Conduct regular security survey of buildings to ensure protection from intruders, theft, vandalism and emergency conditions
• Document, report and recommend actions to be taken to maintain a safe and secure facility
• Actively participate as a member of the company’s Safety Committee
• Develop emergency procedures, respond to incidents, and resolve issues or requests assistance of local authorities

What You Bring

• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• A history of building relationships with other teams, management, and government organizations to prevent and resolve security issues
• Knowledge of security and asset protection practices and principles
• Qualified candidates have a proven track record as a supervisor and thoroughly understand the day to day operations of a security team including staffing, risk management, and security systems
• Knowledge of access control, camera and alarm systems
• A history of responding to incidents, coordinating resources, resolution, and documentation
• Have a general understanding of polices regarding injury response, harassment in the workplace, and drug/alcohol policies
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s Degree or similar work/military/law enforcement background is preferred
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
• Affiliations with professional organizations such as ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security), BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) or related organizations are desirable
• Valid California Guard Card
