Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-prioritized, refined, and aligned with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Define and communicate the product roadmap, working closely with business stakeholders, technical leads, and leadership to align on priorities and timelines.
  • Lead requirements elicitation and analysis, ensuring dependencies and impacts are identified and addressed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and delivery teams, managing expectations and ensuring alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and data mapping documents.
  • Write clear and testable acceptance criteria, ensuring shared understanding across business, development, and QA teams.
  • Lead backlog refinement sessions to ensure the team has a clear understanding of upcoming requirements before sprint planning.
  • Make prioritization decisions on behalf of the business, balancing stakeholder needs, technical constraints, and delivery capacity.
  • Monitor and report on delivery progress, proactively identifying risks, blockers, and scope changes, and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, solution architects, and technical leads to validate that proposed solutions meet business needs.
  • Mentor and support other Business Analysts, providing guidance on requirements practices, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Continuously improve team processes and BA practices to increase delivery quality and efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner role.
  • Proven experience owning a product backlog and driving prioritization decisions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently manage relationships at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cross-functional impacts and drive informed decisions.
  • Ability to interpret and work with data to support analysis, validate requirements, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working across multiple teams or domains simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile application development processes, including understanding of front-end, back-end, and API concepts.



Nice to have

  • Experience with backlog management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Basic SQL skills or experience querying data to support analysis and validation.
  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
