Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

You'll get to assume a leadership role in fast-growing startup in which business intelligence is core to its success.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for algorithms, problem-solving, data analysis and business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Support the business intelligence team with strategy, analysis and reporting
• Leverage data to identify business growth opportunities
• Perform statistical analysis on large data sets to provide actionable insights for partners and users
• Use tools like R and our internal reporting tools to craft reports and communicate findings
• Prepare and analyse A/B tests

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines. Graduate degree is a plus.
• 3 years working with business systems, databases, and/or reporting
• Excellent proficiency with reporting and communicating findings to the team and stakeholders in a way which conveys conclusions
• Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly reports for multiple projects to communicate progress on key metrics (KPIs) across projects
• Experience processing and analyzing complex data sets, and interpreting them to make business decisions, and automation
• Strong proficiency and knowledge in SQL and scripting
• Solid grasp of statistics and data visualization methods
• Experience working with R or similar tools (unfortunately, SAS, SPSS or Excel macros are not applicable) for the purposes of advanced data transformation and statistical analysis.
• Proven record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented and delivering results in an organized manner.
• Ability and willingness to work with developers on dynamic optimization problems
• Ability to handle various time-sensitive, ad-hoc requests
• Interest in online advertising markets
• Proactive team player

Pluses

• Knowledge of R Shiny package, Tableau, git, Apache Pig, Hive and Linux environments
• Excellent statistical and data analysis skills (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, etc.)
• Experience working in a tech based B2C environment, especially with digital advertising
