Job Title: Senior Consultant – Election Services

Location: Hybrid working

Salary: Competitive

Civica have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant who will be a member of the Client Advisory Department, working within Election Services.

The nature of this position requires flexibility and reasonable working hours to fulfil duties and responsibilities, including occasional evening/weekend work and overnight stays. It is a great opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in Politics.

The main responsibility of the Senior Consultant is to effectively manage and deliver projects within Election Services. They will follow specific instructions from Local Authorities, adhering to Civica Election Services’ procedures, and provide advice as needed. The Senior Consultant, along with the Sector Manager, will develop a comprehensive understanding of the Business Sector, including legislation, customers, and competitors. They will also lead in enhancing the client experience within the Local Authority Department.

Responsibilities include;

  • Adhere to CES service standards, policies, and procedures such as ISO9001 and ISO27001.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Administer and organize work to meet accuracy, quality, and reporting targets.
  • Develop and maintain project management methodologies and procedures.
  • Manage internal and external communications, fostering strong relationships with CES staff and key clients/industry contacts.
  • Administer and advise on complex balloting and other projects, considering factors like multi-channel, multi-constituency, and weighted voting.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of different voting systems, rules, and their application.
  • Report non-conformities appropriately.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience/knowledge of in Electoral Services along with a keen interest in working in the sector.
  • Problem-solving approach and inclination towards innovation and development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Confident in interacting with individuals at all levels and adapting communication accordingly.
  • Experience in project management and delivery.
  • Qualifications: PRINCE2 or similar project management methodology certification desirable.
