Senior CPU Architect

TLDR

Define architecture and microarchitecture for in-house RISC-V CPUs serving GPU and Tegra SOCs, improving performance and power efficiency.

NVIDIA is looking for creative CPU architect to join us in architecting world class RISC-V based micro-processor.

We are a team responsible for building world-class RISC-V based embedded CPU for NVIDIA GPU and Tegra SOC.

As a senior CPU architect for the micro-processor IP team, you will focus on the architecture definition of the RISC-V based CPU, you will work with system software teams and system architects, to understand use case requirements, architecture definitions, to build micro-architecture to fulfill all architecture requirements, to improve the performance, power efficiency of the CPU, to deliver bug-free CPU to both GPU and Tegra SOC, help bringing NVIDIA products to another level. You will be able to work with world-class CPU architects in the industry to develop in-house instruction set extensions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with CPU architects, to define architecture/micro architecture for next generation of in-house RISC-V CPU
  • Explore solutions to improve performance, power efficiency
  • To build the design, make sure it meets all requirements, and deliver to CPU to users

What we need to see:

  • BS / MS in electrical / computer engineering and related or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years with MS or 5+ years with BS working experience on design of CPU/DSP/Vector processor or related area
  • Familiar with at least one CPU architecture (ARM, RISC-V, x86, Power, MIPS)
  • Deep understanding in Verilog
  • Bachelors, masters, or PhDs of computer science, electronics engineering, and relevant or equivalent majors are welcome.
