Contractually has an opportunity for five talented senior full-stack software engineers. As a key player and major contributor, you'll join our team of developers and product experts to deliver features at every level of the product, right up and down the stack. We’re a small, agile, company based in the Gastown area of Vancouver, BC. Our team believes in results over micromanagement, and we care deeply about doing what is right for the customer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute high quality, well-tested code to an existing Ruby on Rails project

• Design and implement features with general guidance on requirements

• Ship high quality, customer-ready solutions in a highly agile environment

• Assist in managing our infrastructure and operations

• Participate in code reviews that raise the quality of the overall code base

• Prioritize technical debt, choosing when and how much to refactor

• Clearly communicate the status of ongoing tasks, raising roadblocks in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field

• At least five years of web application development experience in a team environment

• Strong coding skills on both the front-end and back-end

• High working knowledge of a front-end Javascript framework such as Ember, Angular or Backbone

• Expert knowledge of Ruby, Java, PHP, Python, or similar

• Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions in a SaaS environment

• Experience with TDD approaches

• Experience with SQL

The Ideal Candidate

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Angular, including various approaches to directives, templating, and architecture

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Ruby and Rails

• Strong understanding of Twitter Bootstrap

• Previous success optimizing Rails and/or PostgreSQL
