Senior DevOps Engineer Kubernetes (m/w) – Munich, Germany
The web-based product “COCKPIT” is the technical heart of EQS. As a senior DevOps Engineer Kubernetes your goal is to build a new infrastructure in a cloud container solution using Kubernetes on AWS. This system should be set up in a Linux based environment while using various automation tools. With your excellent communication skills and innovative drive, you will be able to effectively interact with various teams to determine what technologies are needed for implementation. Furthermore, you will work together with the software developers and architects to build a continuous delivery pipeline. Once the infrastructure is set, you will also be responsible for maintenance, deployments and evaluating logs.
What we are looking for (“must have”)
- Very good professional experience using Kubernetes (having built larger bare metal clusters)
- Several years of professional experience in the software development of web-based applications
- Knowledge about distributed software architectures (IaC, SaaS, Microservices, Spring-Cloud)
- Very good knowledge of Linux based operation systems such as CoreOS/Ubuntu or Debian
- Very good English language skills both oral and written
What we are looking for (“nice to have”)
- Professional experience in building and using a continuous delivery pipeline
- Experience in using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet or Chef
- Experience in using a message queue such as RabbitMQ/Kafka
- Good knowledge of database administration (relational, document based)
- Professional experience in agile software development with SCRUM or XP
- Good German language skills both oral and written
